Sunny beach days in Coral Bay

After arriving in Coral Bay, I spent 5 days there just enjoying the beach and the Ningaloo Reef.
You can snorkel just off the beach and you have lots of different corals there and reef fish.
It's an absolutely beautiful place and I loved it there.

Roadtrip from Perth to Coral Bay

After my trip to the southwest I decided to catch some sun before I head back to New Zealand. So I found a lift with an Aussie guy and in his 4WD truck we travelled the 1200km to Coral Bay with overnight stops in Geraldton and the Billabong Roadhouse. As soon as you head up north the scenery changes and you are right in the outback. The soil is red and the vegetation is vast and remote. I saw lots of kangaroos and emus along the way, unfortunately a lot of roadkill as well.
One stop on our way was the Kalbarri National Park and that was absolutely stunning. Even though I've been there before, I'm still overwhelmed by the beauties of nature in Western Australia.

Westcoast Australia : Perth, Augusta, Albany

In Noosa I made a really spontaneous decision to fly from Brisbane to Perth (Westcoast).
I spent a few days in Perth and then I travelled to the southwest to Margeret River and Augusta (Whale Watching). Afterwards I spent ten days on a organic vineyard called "Oranje Tractor" in Albany and did Wwoofing there. Wwoofing stands for Willing workers on organic farms and in my opinion it is one of the best ways to get to know the country and its people. I've had a really good time there. They have heaps of fruit trees and vegetables in their garden, free range chickens and they produce their own wine which we had for dinner almost every night.
The weather was pretty cold and lots of rain but there were some nice days in between and as soon as the sun came out I got really nice and warm.

Here are some pictures:
