Finally I went swimming in the cold ocean of New Zealand but after a while I got used to it and it didn't feel that cold anymore and I could actually enjoy the water. We had great fresh food, lots of fish and crayfish and mussels. Food, I've never eaten fresh from the ocean and I thought it was delicious. I also went fishing for the first time in my life in a really small boat but it was fun (apart from being seasick and giving my breakfast to the ocean) and I caught my first fish. Saw thousands of seabirds which was pretty amazing. Another tick on the list was jumping of the wharf (about 4-5 metres). I thought it was scary and I did it only once ;-) Went body boarding and spent a lot of time at the beach, reading and relaxing. The weather was absolutely beautiful, so I had to put on lots of sunscreen all day. Otherwise the sun will burn your skin after 15 minutes.
Apart from the Smith Family from the farm, there were also 3 other families. One night we had dinner with 22 people (includig 11 kids). I really enjoyed the time and they all treated me as part of the family.
The time I've spent here with the Smith family was amazing and I will have memories for a lifetime and experiences I will never forget. It'll be very hard for me to leave but it's time to move on an explore the rest of New Zealand.
